Here we are: The Brass Compass. We’re four parts of a family (three sisters and the one who gave birth to us) who all spend most of our time not traveling. Nonetheless, we all have a deep passion for not just traveling but constantly learning and sharing what we learn with others.
About what you’ll see here in the future: you’ll find general and Pinterest-worthy posts on topics like packing light while traveling with a baby and general reviews of travel gear we like or don’t like, but we plan to go beyond that, too. Because we are all interested in literature, history, anthropology, and other cultural aspects, we’ll have posts—sometimes essays—based on our own travels with a focus on these elements (think: following archaeological developments in the Four Corners area, exploring bookstores in London, or wandering through less-visited Roman sites in Italy). Many of these posts will take the form of series, each of which will follow a common theme and build on previous posts. Our interests are many, and with four of us contributing to this blog, variety will be our constant.
In sum: we love to travel, we love the world, and we want to share that enthusiasm with others. We’re excited to get this blog going and contribute to the travel community!
